“Jackass Liars”…#169

“Jackass Liars”

Both candidates Trump and Biden are using the pandemic situation to further their political campaigns, and the drama continues. Trump tells us that social distancing guidelines will be “fading out’”. A day before federal guidelines on slowing the spread of corona virus are set to expire, Trump indicate that the social distancing guidelines would be relaxed as states begin to reopen. However, somewhere inside the “big picture”, more than one-million cases of corona virus has been confirmed, and an estimated sixty-thousand US citizens have died. What does this tell you Mr. President?

President Trump continues to make statements that he retracts hours later. The president stated that the tests were coming “very soon”, and then on Wednesday, he claimed that he never said it. His backpedaling thoughts came as quickly and his statement that test would be soon was said by him. He stated that the lie was a media trap. As usual, our president continually lies and retracts his statements. On the other hand, does this mentally deranged man (my personal opinion) is not responsible for what he says or does? As a people, do we just overlook, wait eight-ears out, and try of correct mistakes made by government? Have we ever elected honest political people in any position, my long life tells me that we have very few?

The White House is pushing to open and revive the economy, that has been deep-seated to President Trump’s reelection, and all persons running for office is using or stepping on the backs of the people who have not had the virus, those who have survived and in my opinion he has walked upon the graves of those sixty-thousand who have lost their lives? Even Jared Kushner stated that the economy would be “really rocking again” by July, calling the recovery a great success story. Another reelection statement. I also wish that their vocabulary would expand, I am tired of, beautiful, nice, wonderful, and so on, political statement or not very professional these days. Really rocking again…do we have teenagers running the government or men?

The Treasure Secretary stated the economy would bounce back in July, August or September. VP Pence said Memorial Day weekend would be when we put the virus epidemic behind us. Come on people, they have given predictions for half of the year. Americans are unlikely to return to normal life until a vaccine is developed and effective. That timeline is in the ballpark of 12 to 18 months. Fauci has said he has “convinced” there will be a second wave in the fall.

All of the government should have a mass meeting, pick a date, and stick to it, the way things are going now they all just look like “Jackass Liars”. Those misinformation quotes have already been cut into campaign ads for Democratic nominee Joe Biden. Trump is pumping up his campaign from the podium and has repeatedly defended his bullish pronouncements, describing himself as a “cheerleader” for the country. News for you Mr. President, another teenager type of statement, next you will have “pom poms” waving as you enter press forums.
Of Course…this is just my opinion!

A Cult Leader?…#168

When President Donald Trump suggested the possibility of an “injection” of disinfectant into a person infected with the corona virus as a deterrent to the virus. My thoughts immediately went to one person Jim Jones, his rise to “cult leader” and his getting all of his followers to take poisoned Kool-aid. I am not certain that some of Trump followers will try the injection method. It would be a shame, I do know about the rest of the country but I know that “southerners” know what affect that bleach or disinfectant would have on the body, ultimate death.

Trump made the remark a presentation was displayed on research his team has conducted that shows that the virus does not live as long in warmer and more humid temperatures. It was said “The virus dies quickest in sunlight,” leaving Trump to wonder whether you could bring the light “inside the body.” He went on to state, “So supposing we hit the body with a tremendous ultraviolet or just a very powerful light”, he went on to say, “Supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or some other way.” He added, “I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. In addition, is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? As you see, it gets in the lungs; it does a tremendous number on the lungs.”

Jim Jones, a charismatic founder of The Peoples Temple of the Disciples of Christ amassed a loyal following, how did Jim Jones keep his followers under his control. Jim Jones appeared to be a great person, and he convinced so many people that he was doing great things in the community. He was a political animal, ego-driven and very successful. His followers saw this as the change in their lives, which made the improvement. Jim Jones was a very desirable man to many women, and a role model to the men he was extremely charismatic.

I believe that some leaders are defined by their use of money, power, greed, sex, lies, charisma and violence to control their followers and empower themselves; in 2016, these were the traits of Donald Trump. While many have remained in denial about the existential threat posed by Donald Trump and his movement, Trump’s followers were not swayed from supporting their leader for any reason. With the corona virus pandemic, Trump’s power over his followers is on full display, as he and his spokespeople are now suggesting that older and other vulnerable Americans should be willing to risk their lives in order to “save the economy” and of course to aid Trump’s victory in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump resembles the cult leader Jim Jones and why… Trump’s followers remain in love with him even as his decisions are literally making them sick. I also believe that Trump’s followers are capable of committing acts of great violence against their fellow Americans, should their leader command it.

Donald Trump continues to make ridiculous statements, such as claiming he was the first person to call the corona virus a “pandemic,” or that there will be a mysterious light and all will be well. It is clear he is mentally unwell. How do you make sense of his behavior?
Trump grew up in the church of Norman Vincent Peale. Peale taught magical thinking and that if a person just believed enough, that God will magically make it come true. Trump was trained to be a magical thinker as a child. Trump defines his own world and what is real or not. That is a type of thinking which is very common to cults. In this way of thinking, if Trump says the corona virus pandemic is just going to somehow get better then it is going to happen. And when that does not happen, then Trump can deny ever saying such a thing, blame the Chinese, the Democrats or anyone else, instead of just saying he was wrong.

Donald Trump fits the stereotypical profile of all vicious cult leaders. These traits include malignant narcissism. Trump can easily be compared to Jim Jones, and other cult leaders. Trump always had a cult of personality around him in terms of his businesses and his social interactions with people. Nevertheless, once Trump attained the presidency, he took over the Republican Party and instituted an atmosphere where he rewards loyalty and punishes anyone that defies him.

Ingest Disinfectants…#167

Ingest Disinfectants

Trump asked if disinfectants could be injected to kill the corona virus inside the body. Doctors answered: ‘People will die. He is now backtracking…”Amid a flurry of backlash and ridicule, President Trump walked back his suggestion that scientists test whether disinfectants, such as bleach, could be injected inside the human body to fight the corona virus, claiming Friday that he had said it sarcastically”. “We’ve heard the president trying to practice medicine for several weeks now, but this is a new low that is outside the realms of common sense or plausibility,” said Ryan Marino, a medical toxicologist and emergency physician at University Hospitals in Cleveland.

He will say such things then the next day either denied or say we took it wrong. What does this president have to do to be removed from office? All of his statements are made up to “Shock and Awe” the public, then he denies it. What does this president have to do to be removed?

Governors preparing to roll back restrictions put in place to slow the spread of the novel corona virus are in some cases acting without the input and against the wishes of their own medical and emergency management staff. Some of these are Georgia’s governor; Utah; Tennessee; South Carolina, to date, with many more to come.

Approximately 55,000 people have died in the USA from the virus. My home town of Cottage Grove, WI, has about 7,000 people, I find it large enough; but this virus could wipe it off the map! I am not saying that we should shut down forever; I am pleading with people to try a change your life style. Let us be very careful in what we do, where we go and be mindful of what this virus can do.

I have not been outside my living area and patio for eight weeks. I am high risk; therefore, my children bring my groceries and essential items. I am a loner by nature, so I am certain that the quarantine does not affect me as it does some people. I am spiritual, not religious, however; I pray for the lives of those around the world, keep us all safe until a cure is found.

These comments are of my opinion only , they are facts as I view them.

The Old life will Never Return…#166

I have tried to resist from posting about the corona virus, yet since everyone has an opinion, I thought I would add mine. I have known all my life that America in general was greedy. I have seen years of the citizens of this country be or become greedy as time goes by, and the epidemic of greediness is growing rapidly. It shows in their actions, it is no longer about helping each other it is what can we do to get back the life we had before the virus hit.

Now protesters are defying the “stay-at-home guidelines”, they are taking to the streets toting American flags and do not tread on me banners. They are challenging the orders. The movement it gaining momentum and it is like the virus, it is spreading throughout the country. The protests have gain support from President Donald Trump; he has in a series of tweets condoned people disobeying rules that were intended to slow the virus. He has tweeted; liberate Minnesota, Michigan, Virginia, saying our 2nd Amendment rights are under siege! He is supporting protesting a virus that will kill many Americans. Then he said that he believes that some governors have been carried away. In addition, you will see the protestors holding up signs that read “open the country” wearing mask. Where are their minds at when backtracking in their own beliefs? When these same people complain that the government mandates healthy citizens to stay at home; who will determine who is healthy and who has the virus?
Another problem is that those in authority picks and chooses who will get the stimulus packages. If you are not a US citizen, but married to one, and your children are citizens…you will not receive the relief package. More than 1 million U.S. citizens, in states as far afield as California and Pennsylvania, have been blocked from receiving stimulus checks because they are married to immigrants who do not have Social Security numbers. Some are front-line workers employed in hospitals, police departments and public transit. Others have been laid off or are working fewer hours because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Another act of discrimination is against Asians have become a daily occurrence, as some refer to it as the “Chinese Virus”. What have Americans turned into when they are ask where they are from, demanding that food they are purchasing be left for those who are not responsible for the virus. What a disgrace… America Asian people (some not even of Chinese heritage) around the world have reported harassment. Largely due to President Trump’s use of terms like “kung flu.” The suggestion that Chinese people are responsible for the most deadly virus in recent history is not only inaccurate but also dangerous.

I will end with those who are risking their lives every day such as, Doctors, Nurses, Police, Firefighters, Delivery, Grocery Stores, and I am certain I have left out someone; but anyone placing their own lives in harm’s way to keep this country going I applaud them, they are my hero’s.

Memories Last Forever…#165

Memories Last Forever…

I know a place filled with back county roads,

they join hills and cross over sparkling brooks;

they weave through golden fields and cleverly

slip into forest nooks. They wind to places that

I know so well, twist and turn through hollows

and hills; my heart is beating to a familiar tune.

Thoughts of long ago times I can hear the

cadenced beat of the horse’s hooves on red dirt

roads; beside me is an old yellow dog. Trees are

creaking, singing their whistling song in the

breeze, a cow in a meadow shakes her bell; I

can image an afternoon rain, and then sun

splashing bright on the road ahead, rainbow

arks in a clear blue sky.

My memory brings forth all of these images

of my childhood, the sun-splashed field, the

creak of the old wagon and the horses takes

us to church. The blue sky, song and laughter

in the little white church, music plays softly

on my ears; this is the land I desire, causing

my soul to shimmer, tremble to the tune.

The morning breeze blows my long hair,

the curls bouncing; nodding to the sun.

I image that I am a butterfly in a warm

summer day; sitting upon a flower, stilled

my colorful wings. Oh! To be a cloud,

wafting through the blue, shadowing

the hills, framing the valleys below,

lingering over the land showing

splashes of red southern dirt. My

memories last forever, and that is

what I do, a purpose daydreaming,

day-to-day.

Into the Wilderness…#164

italy-2080072_960_720

Into the Wilderness…

Standing by the grave where death

has ceased its struggle; voice silenced,

eyes shut. With shivering hearts the

conflict over; pilgrimage done, there

will be no more suffering. In the dying

hour, the life plunged down into

dissension; the moaning, doubts, disputes,

and fears now lay deep within the earth.

Healing power surrounded us, while a

warm breeze like waves in the ocean

swept across a sun-lit mound of dirt. The

darkest days will still bring brightness,

strengthen the sage mind, and remove

the fear that lies within the breast. A

cloud of mortal destiny follows;

reminders of what was and what it can be.

Wake in a new world, cross a snowy

mountainous pass; hear the echoes

from eagles, and cross a flowing stream.

It leads to the sea, myth or illusion,

eyes open as the mind gathers thoughts.

Remember God can abide man’s soul,

cleans the body to make ready for

tranquility; you will rise and follow.

What is before us we do not know,

but the mind goes with solemn peace.

Yet man has no impracticable hours,

no patients, man’s life plunges into

thought often; strife will soon follow,

he smiles and walks into an unknown

wilderness.

Deaths Hideous Show…#163

Note from Author :
When I create poetry, some of my followers believe that it is personal, no, the idea may be built upon ones personal perception or glimpses into my life, but it is not to be taken as fact. My blog is filled with ideas when creating, but I believe that the meaning is not only found in the act of reading (and re-reading) poetry. Sometimes we start writing a poem with one idea in mind, but by the time we reach the end of the first draft, another idea or theme has emerged. Other times, we might write a poem and realize years later that there are layers of meaning in it; perhaps our subconscious produced something we were not aware of at the time the poem was composed.

The very act of writing poetry opens us to the meaning of our experiences and ideas, especially if we are willing to give up control when we write and let ideas and words flow freely. Free writing is an ideal practice for generating mysterious raw material. I find my poetry to be dark, eight decades of experiences gives me a wheelhouse of raw material on many subjects. Please enjoy.

Deaths Hideous Show…

She asks that her bed of death

be free of greedy heirs, her last

breath she favored, not me.

Greedy did not bring them to

their knees. I kept back tears I

will not weep! There are worst

plagues than tears. I would now

find the freedom that my life

has been denied; then at last,

I can give up my hope to find

love from she who carried me

within and gave me life.

Spare me the whispering crowded

room, family and friends that come

and gape and go; spare me the

ceremonious air of gloom, which

makes death a hideous show. The

future that undiscovered mystery,

which one feels deaths wings.

Bring none of these to me; let me

be silent in the dew of the morning,

this world that I was born. The

same world that will continue to

last when I am dead.

I find that the universe is my home;

my mind treads on every day, which

brings the sun, the moon, the stars;

oceans, streams and lakes; every blade

of grass flows within my veins. Keep

from me all mortal strife, and praise

each little breath for from it I will

find my eternal course in life.

Spare my feeling as I gaze upon each

day, let me grow, stay composed, mind

clear. When my time is near let me,

accept it without fear. Let my spirit

go to work no more, to wait no

more; I ask that you shed no tears.
